40 years of care in our home, and yours
We are excited to be celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2022, with activities and celebrations planned throughout the year, as we look back on four decades of Isabel Hospice.
Since changing our name in 1982, when the Welwyn and Hatfield Hospice service was first established, one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to providing free end-of-life care and helping our patients and their families live every moment to the last. In the last 40 years, we’ve touched the lives of patients, family members, volunteers, staff, healthcare professionals, donors, business people … the list goes on!
We’re so proud to be celebrating our birthday, but we’re even prouder to hear your stories about how Isabel has touched your lives over the years. Join us as we look back over some of the key moments from our history, reshare our whole archive of Care News and share some of your stories from each decade.
Thanks to the fantastic support of our local communities, we are one of the oldest hospices in the area. We’re incredibly proud of everything your support has enabled us to achieve over the last 40 years.
